Prime Minister of Armenia not taking part in Samarkand SCO summit
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not attend the SCO summit in Samarkand due to the current situation.

This message was spread by the press service of the Armenian government, Armenpress reports.
On the night of September 13, clashes resumed on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Baku accused Armenia of provocations, mining supply routes and shelling. Yerevan announced the shelling of the southeastern border. The parties reported dozens of deaths.
Armenia turned to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) for military assistance in order to restore its territorial integrity.
“Armenia appealed to the CSTO under the fourth Article, and asked, among other things, for military assistance to restore the country’s territorial integrity,” Nikol Pashinyan said, speaking in the Armenian parliament.
Nikol Pashinyan also reported 105 dead during the fighting on the border with Azerbaijan.
Later, the head of government stated that Armenia was ready to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the event of the withdrawal of the armed forces of this republic from Armenian territory, within the USSR borders.
According to him, Armenia does not recognize the territory of Armenia, where the Azerbaijani Armed Forces invaded, as Azerbaijani.
“If they come out and stand on the USSR borders, then we will recognize it. If no, then we won’t. And it doesn’t matter either the military balance, or the allies, or whose ally is stronger. This is our political position, which will not change,” Pashinyan said.
