We will complete the investment program based on the shortcomings mentioned today. These regions will not be allocated money for schools next year. Every governor will say on TV: “I am guilty of not doing this”. 

Construction and repair work in 25 schools in Andijan has not been completed, in Bukhara - 24 schools, in Jizzakh - 12 schools, in Kashkadarya - 32 schools, in Navoi - 8 schools, in Namangan - 12 schools, in Samarkand - 8 schools and in Surkhandarya - 29 schools. There is a governor in Surkhandarya, who likes to scold prosecutors on the phone. Before talking to the prosecutor on the phone, you have to maintain the school construction. If you are tired, I will fire you. In the Tashkent region, Mr. Mirzayev did not complete the construction of 41 schools. Also, this task has not been fulfilled in Syrdarya (6), Fergana (23), Khorezm (6) and Tashkent city (23). This evening, all governors will write to me, if there is no justifying reason, I will fire them,” the President said at the meeting. 

Also, Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave an order to speed up the free rental of school textbooks and exercise books. 

For information, previously the audio of Surkhondarya regional governor Tura Bobolov insulting Angor district prosecutor was circulated on the Internet. Then the regional governor insulted the prosecutor for bringing a person close to him to criminal responsibility and directly interfered in the investigation.

The PGO stated that the authenticity of the audio recording was being investigated. However, the results of the study have not been made public since then.

On August 24, a new audio of Surkhandarya regional governor Tura Bobolov went viral. In the audio, Bobolov severely reprimanded the officials who are not able to subscribe to the “Surkhon tongi” newspaper in the required amount. This case is contrary to the resolution No. 3907 of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated August 14, 2018. 

Bobolov’s press service commented on the above audio. According to it, no meeting was held in 2022 under the leadership of the regional governor. Officially, it was stated that this audio recording was “edited from the meetings of 2021”.
