Thefts of 3.5 billion soums revealed in museums of Andijan, Namangan and Termez
It is noted that in the state museums of history and culture of the Andijan, Namangan regions, a total damage worth 54,700,000 soums was revealed, and in the Termez State Museum-Reserve – 3,467,000,000 soums.

In June-July, a working group led by the Inspectorate for Protecting Cultural Heritage of the Cabinet of Ministers examined the unique objects stored in the State Museums of History and Culture of Andijan and Namangan regions, the Termez State Museum-Reserve. Experts studied their safety and conservation status, the Cultural Heritage Agency reported.
During the study, the working group found that 4 items in the State Museum of History and Culture of the Andijan region, 9 items in the State Museum of History and Culture of the Namangan region do not correspond to the descriptions of the museum’s input data, inventory and scientific passports in size, method of development and time creation.
It was also found that 24 items in the Termez State Museum-Reserve do not correspond to the descriptions of museum incoming and inventory books and scientific passports in terms of size, style of work and time of creation, and 58 named items are not in the museum’s funds.
According to the art criticism expert of the Cultural Heritage Agency, the amount of damage found in the State Museum of History and Culture of the Andijan region is 31 million soums, in the State Museum of History and Culture of the Namangan region – 23 million 700 thousand soums and in the State Museum-Reserve of Termez – 3 billion 466 million 800 thousand soums.
