Tashkent to host Asian Weightlifting Championships in 2024
The regular Congress of the Asian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) held in the capital of Uzbekistan determined the host country of the continental championships in 2024.

According to the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan (NOC), the championship will be held in Tashkent. The competition will provide significant ranking points for obtaining a license for the upcoming Paris 2024 Summer Olympics in the same year.
India, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan competed for hosting the continental championships in 2024. Based on the voting results, members of the AWF Executive Committee entrusted the holding of the tournament to Uzbekistan.
