According to the MIFT, the delegation also included the French Ambassador Bouchez Aurelia, the leadership of the leading French companies Orano Mining, SUEZ, Voltalia, EDF, MEDEF International and Alstom.
The parties constructively discussed the current state and prospects for expanding investment cooperation with French companies. It was noted that currently about 50 French companies specialized in such areas as geological exploration, energy, infrastructure, tourism and agriculture are operating in the country.
The MEDEF leadership emphasized that Uzbekistan is an active and reliable economic partner of France and expressed readiness to intensify efforts to attract large French businesses to the implementation of new projects in the country.
Representatives of French business circles announced their plans for working in Uzbekistan and spoke about the current interaction with Uzbek partners within the framework of developing joint projects and initiatives in specialized areas.
During the meeting, the participants, among whom were also representatives of the relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan, were able to develop an agenda for further actions to promote the considered areas of cooperation.
The Uzbek side expressed its readiness to provide support to every French entrepreneur interested in implementing projects in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue practical cooperation aimed at supporting the business circles of the two countries in establishing partnerships and reaching specific agreements.
