MPs approved amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On state pension provision of citizens”, Rasul Kusherbayev reported in his Telegram channel.
According to the changes, the amount of allowances assigned to children on the occasion of the loss of a breadwinner (orphans) will be increased based on the total amount of the wages of the father and mother, within the 12-fold amount of the BCA. At present, the amount of the benefit is equal to 10 BCAs.
In addition, for calculating the pension, an average monthly salary equal to 12 BCAs will be taken into account. Currently, the pension is calculated at 10 BCAs.
It is noted that innovations will contribute to the appointment of decent pensions to citizens, increase their material well-being, strengthen the principles of social justice and increase the incentive of the population to productive work.
If the law is passed, it will come into force on January 1, 2023.
