Special representatives of Uzbekistan and Norway for Afghanistan discuss peaceful settlement of Afghan crisis
Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held an online meeting with his counterpart from Norway Kjell-Gunnar Eriksen.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, in particular the efforts of Uzbekistan and Norway to peacefully resolve the Afghan crisis, as well as to provide humanitarian assistance to the country as soon as possible.
Kjell-Gunnar Eriksen praised the position and approaches of the leadership of Uzbekistan in relation to the crisis in Afghanistan, particularly the need for early action to improve the humanitarian situation in this country, as well as to establish long-term and sustainable peace and stability.
The sides exchanged views on possible priority areas of bilateral cooperation in the Afghan direction.
