Individuals who promised to send citizens to America for $40,000 detained in Samarkand and Tashkent
As a result of operative measures taken by law enforcement agencies in Samarkand and Tashkent, the illegal transportation of Uzbek citizens to the United States has been prevented, Uzbekistan24 TV channel reported.
Samarkand law enforcement agencies have received information that two individuals are involved in smuggling Uzbek citizens to the United States, promising to issue visas for $40,000.
A 39-year-old woman was arrested on Registan Street while receiving a national ID, an international passport and the agreed amount of money.
The operative event was continued in the Almazar district of Tashkent when the 30-year-old woman’s partner was arrested while taking $3,000.
Currently, an investigation is underway.
