President Mirziyoyev receives OSCE Chairman-in-Office

At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE and the expansion of Uzbek-Polish relations.
The sides paid special attention to strengthening OSCE’s expert support for democratic reforms, including constitutional reform, and the deepening of cooperation through the parliamentary assembly of the organization. In the economic and environmental dimension, the focus was on the promotion of projects in the field of "green" development, digitalization, poverty reduction through the creation of jobs and support for business initiatives, the implementation of important environmental measures, including in the Aral Sea region.

An exchange of views also took place on issues of international politics, including the development of multilateral relations with the European Union, the promotion of peace and socio-economic reconstruction in Afghanistan.
The president separately noted the prospects for expanding Uzbek-Polish practical cooperation. According to him, last year, the bilateral trade grew dramatically, and since the beginning of the year, it has increased by almost 50 percent. A number of joint projects are being implemented with leading Polish companies in agriculture, food, chemical, electrical and other industries. Important humanitarian programs are being implemented, including the opening of a branch of the Warsaw University of Management in the country.

During the meeting, the importance of establishing direct contacts between business circles, intensifying cultural and humanitarian exchange was especially noted.
The parties reached an agreement on the adoption of a joint "road map" following the results of the current visit of Zbigniew Rau to Uzbekistan.
