The Cabinet of Ministers approved the “Research Program for developing technologies for the production, storage and transportation of hydrogen in the field of hydrogen energy technology” developed by the Ministry of Innovative Development.
According to the program, the technology of hydrogen extraction under the influence of the heat of the combined light flux of the sun and with the help of catalysts will be developed, and on its basis an experimental model of a thermochemical hydrogen extraction device at temperatures up to 1700 degrees will be developed.
An experimental model of a vehicle running on hydrogen gas using ammonia and hydrogen fuel cells will also be developed.
An experimental pilot device will be created to generate heat and electricity from “green” hydrogen fuel.
It is noted that as a result of research, hydrogen energy will be used on a large scale, as the use of hydrogen fuel will be able to compete economically with the processes of using fossil fuels.
According to experts, by 2050 the share of hydrogen energy in world energy is expected to reach 18%, and by the end of the century – more than 40%.
