At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OTS.
The sides noted the dynamic nature of the development of multifaceted collaboration between Uzbekistan and the organization in the economic, trade, transport, customs, tourism, law enforcement, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The parties considered the schedule of upcoming events in the republic held jointly with the OTS, including a youth forum, an international scientific conference on the topic “The place of the Kokand Khanate in the formation of the cultural heritage and the development of the statehood of the Turkic peoples”, a meeting of ministers of agriculture and a Turkic agricultural forum.
A thorough exchange of views took place on the implementation of initiatives to further expand cooperation within the OTS, put forward by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the summit of the organization on November 12, 2021 in Istanbul.
Particular attention was paid to issues related to the preparation and holding of the first summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held this year in Uzbekistan.
Certain issues of the regional and international agenda were also discussed during the talks.
