Statistics Committee announces number of foreign students studying in Uzbekistan
The State Statistics Committee has provided data on the number of foreign students studying in higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.

According to the committee, at the beginning of the 2021/22 academic year, the number of foreign students studying in Uzbekistan amounted to 5.1 thousand people.
The number of foreign nationals studying in higher education institutions of the country by years:
- 2016/2017 academic year - 603 people;
- 2017/2018 academic year - 1320 people;
- 2018/2019 academic year - 2685 people;
- 2019/2020 academic year - 3593 people;
- 2020/2021 academic year - 4219 people;
- 2021/2022 academic year - 5140 people.
As of January 1, 2020, 53,000 students from Uzbekistan were studying abroad.
