Special presidential representatives of Uzbekistan and Russia hold talks in Moscow
Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatilla Irgashev held talks in Moscow with Special Representative of the President of Russia for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov.

According to the MFA, during the conversation, the efforts of Uzbekistan and Russia to peacefully resolve the Afghan crisis, restore the country’s socio-economic infrastructure, provide humanitarian assistance and other assistance to the Afghan people were discussed.
The parties also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan, the development of a consolidated position of the international community both in relation to the new authorities of the country, the prevention of a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, and the implementation of various infrastructure projects in the country, including in the field of transport and energy.
The mutual interest of Uzbekistan and Russia in continuing consultations on the Afghan issue was expressed.
