“During the meeting, Aliyev stressed the existence of good opportunities for increasing mutual trade,” the report reads.

The President also noted the prospects for expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan in the transport sector and the full implementation of transport corridors.

“The head of state stressed the importance of considering the possibilities of mutual investment and joint investment in projects in other countries,” the Azerbaijani press service said.

Touching upon cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, Aliyev stressed the importance of Uzbekistan’s full membership in the organization.

In turn, Ismoilov said that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was looking forward to Aliyev’s visit to Tashkent.
