It was found out that 3 trucks were stopped by border guards during the inspection of cars coming from Uzbekistan. 6 undocumented cars were found in the trunks.

Kazakh citizens were arrested on charges of attempting to smuggle. The seized cargo will be transferred to the Economic Investigation Department of Turkestan region.

Khusan Tangriyev, acting head of the press service of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, told Gazeta.uz that the goods had all the relevant documents when transiting through Uzbekistan.

“On March 17-18, three trucks loaded with foreign cars entered Uzbekistan for transit. All relevant documents were submitted to the customs authorities and on March 19, they were deported to the neighboring country. That is, all the documents related to really cars were submitted correctly and completely, no violations were identified. The trucks were inspected by the inspection complex,” he said.

According to him, the truck was traveling from Tajikistan to Kazakhstan via Uzbekistan.
