PCR test certificate no longer required for Umrah pilgrims

Now, the procedure for submitting QR-coded PCR test certificate with a negative result on the absence of coronavirus is being abolished upon entry to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“We would like to inform you that the procedure for submitting pre-trip PCR test certificate for pilgrims traveling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Umrah 2022 season has been abolished,” the report said.

For information, pilgrims traveling via the Umrah program should be vaccinated against one of the following coronavirus vaccines:

ꞏ Pfizer/BioNTech;
ꞏ Oxford-AstraZeneca;
ꞏ Modern;
ꞏ Johnson & Johnson.

Earlier, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan announced that from February 1, there will be one daily flight to Saudi Arabia for Umrah pilgrimage. From February 10, 2 flights will be operated daily, and 3 flights will be operated daily during the month of Ramadan.
