Individuals who stole petrol from Russia to Uzbekistan have been detained, the press service of the Transport and Tourism Department reported.

It was found that citizen B.S., Sh.D., D.I. and others had intended to secretly plunder a large amount of other people’s property. They conspired in advance and cut the marks on the hatches at the top of 7 oil tankers sent to a foreign company Carpe Diem Energy LLC, located in the Sergeli-5 district of Tashkent, from the Orsk Oil Refinery in Russia in order to steal AI-95 petrol in them.

They then opened the wagon hatches, loaded the product onto vehicles carrying oil products and fled from the scene.

On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated against citizen B.S. and others under Paragraph “a” of Article 169-4 (Theft) of the Criminal Code. A preliminary investigation is underway.
