A man detained in Samarkand for selling anti-coronavirus drugs worth $16,000

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in the Samarkand region, citizen N.Yu., in order to make money by circulating drugs outside pharmacies and their branches, agreed with citizen M. to sell illegally foreign-made Remdesivir, a drug widely used in the treatment of COVID-19 infection, for 350,000 soums each.

He was caught with material evidence when he sold a total of 500 drugs for $16,300.

A criminal case under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code (sale of drugs or medical devices outside pharmacies and their branches) is under investigation.
