International treaty between Uzbekistan and Spain comes into force
On February 10, the Agreement between Uzbekistan and Spain on cooperation in the fight against crime came into force.
The document was signed on November 5, 2013, in the city of Madrid.
According to the Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the treaty is aimed at regulating cooperation in the fight against organized crime, terrorism, human trafficking, illegal migration, drug and arms trafficking, corruption and other types of crimes.
The agreement was approved in 2014 by the first President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov.
