Tram traffic to be restored in Tashkent
Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced plans to return trams to Tashkent. According to the president, many appeals have been received from citizens in this regard.

During his visit to Samarkand region on February 10, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of new projects planned to be implemented in the region.
The president stressed the need to build a scientific and practical center in Samarkand to reduce and eliminate congestion.
“We need to reduce speed in the city and eliminate congestion. Many people are dying in accidents,” he said.
It is noted that there is a tram in Samarkand.
“We want to return the tram to Tashkent. There are a lot of appeals from citizens in this regard,” Mirziyoyev said.
He also spoke about the creation of a new underground tunnel in Samarkand, the concept of safe roads and safe pedestrians, and said that the speed of traffic in Tashkent will be reduced to 60 km.
“A decision will soon be made to set the maximum speed in Tashkent at 60 km/h,” blogger Aziza Kurbanova quoted the president as saying.
