Uzbekistan ranks 43 in the world by population
According to the State Statistics Committee, the permanent population of Uzbekistan as of January 1, 2022, amounted to 35 million 271.3 thousand people, up by 712.4 thousand (2.1%) compared to the corresponding period of last year.

Over the year, the number of women increased by 346.6 thousand people (2.0%) and men – by 365.7 thousand people (2.1%).
According to the United Nations Population Fund, as of January 1, 2021, the total population of the world is 7 billion 875 million.
The Republic of Uzbekistan ranks 43rd in the world in terms of population.
