In total, 324,000 foreign students entered Russia last year to study. This is a noticeable increase – in 2020 there were 315 thousand and in 2019 – 298 thousand.

Kazakhstan is a clear leader in terms of the number of students studying in Russian higher education institutions – 61 thousand.

The ministry notes that medical science, economics and management are most in demand among students from Uzbekistan.
