As the press service of the Health Ministry reported, at the beginning of the meeting, the minister briefly dwelled on the epidemiological situation in the country, noting that the number of diseases is growing and a number of necessary measures are being taken to prevent this.
“Now every patient is under our control. We are taking measures for their recovery, as well as to prevent infection of other fellow citizens. Vaccination is the most effective measure against the spread of coronavirus infection. Because resistance to the disease in fully vaccinated and receiving a booster dose increases significantly. If we talk about the new strain, it runs much easier than the old strains. In 90-95% of patients who are treated inpatiently, there is no decrease in the respiratory capacity of the lungs and signs of pneumonia. We have also made changes to the treatment protocol. In each district and city department of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service, conditions have been created for taking PCR tests round-the-clock. We have enough experience and capabilities in the fight against coronavirus,” Musayev said.
In addition, during the meeting, they talked about the importance and benefits of treating coronavirus patients at home. After that, an exchange of views took place on the main item on the agenda – the process of preparing for an open dialogue between the President and healthcare workers.
To date, 430 appeals had been received from the Fergana region, of which 317 were directly related to medical workers.
Musayev asked about the decision of each appeal. He listened to the proposals of the representatives of the sphere. He gave the necessary instructions for the prompt resolution of problematic issues related to improving working conditions, ensuring the employment of healthcare workers, and completing the construction and reconstruction work of healthcare facilities.
