On December 27, the newly appointed ambassadors of foreign countries to Uzbekistan presented their credentials.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received credentials from Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia Reynis Troksha, Ambassador of Hungary Dyula Kovac, Ambassador of the French Republic Aurelia Bushez and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Yusuf al-Utaybi.
The head of state sincerely congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors on the start of their diplomatic mission in our country.
It was noted that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the development of constructive dialogue with foreign countries and international organizations, the expansion of mutually beneficial partnerships.
The President noted that the country is determined to continue democratic reforms, to ensure consistency in the implementation of comprehensive reforms on the basis of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy.
The main goal of the development strategy is to ensure the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of every citizen, to build a free and open society, a democratic state.
The main task is to turn Uzbekistan into a country with higher than average incomes by 2030. To this end, great attention is paid to deepening market reforms, creating new jobs, supporting the private sector, attracting foreign investment and technology.
Pragmatic and thoughtful foreign policy and economic diplomacy will continue.
Strengthening good neighborly relations and partnerships with Central Asian countries will remain one of the priorities.
Uzbekistan is taking its multifaceted cooperation with Russia, China, the United States, as well as Europe, South Asia, the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East to a qualitatively new level.
As the President stressed, we must be open to the world, and the world to us – this is the main requirement of today’s development. The concept of foreign policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan is adopted in a new edition.
“The settlement of the situation in Afghanistan, which is considered an integral part of our region, is the most important factor in ensuring security. Uzbekistan is ready to cooperate with the international community to prevent economic and humanitarian crisis and promote peace in this neighboring country,” the President said.
The Uzbek leader touched upon the prospects of large-scale and long-term cooperation with the countries represented by the newly appointed ambassadors.
The diplomats expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the conditions created for their effective work, noting that they will devote all their efforts, knowledge and professional experience to the further development of mutually beneficial relations.
