On December 21 of this year, a meeting of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security was held at the Academy of Armed Forces.
The meeting heard information from the Minister of Defense. In addition, the results of the study of the state of implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On general military duty and military service” in terms of the organization and conduct of military service under contract in the Department of Defense Affairs and military units of the Khorezm region were discussed.
In order to further improve the control system of the Armed Forces, a draft presidential decree “On approval of the Concept for the construction and development of a unified control system for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030 based on digital automated systems” has been developed.
In order to maintain the troops of the Ministry of Defense in constant combat readiness, more than 1,100 surprise inspections were carried out, directly close to real combat situations.
As a result, the number of operational training activities has doubled compared to last year, and the training of command personnel has also increased.
To ensure high-quality conduct of combat training for servicemen and create decent conditions of service, 20 training camps were created, equipped with a modern educational-material base. Twelve of them were built in accordance with international requirements and are aimed at holding military competitions in various areas and improving the professional training of specialists.
In addition, the holding of repeated from year to year classes was stopped, 4 days in a row a week were focused only on combat training, and the quality and quantity of practical training increased.
During the reporting period, based on the experience of NATO armies, 45 km of complex corridors were built at 6 training ranges. In these complexes, the entire personnel of reconnaissance, special and airborne units underwent difficult tests in conditions of severe physical and psychological pressure.
