“These days we are talking about traffic jams on all the streets of Tashkent at any time.

At present, 130,000 tons of cargo a day enters Tashkent in large trucks. It also has a negative impact on congestion, road quality and air quality in the capital.

This problem can be solved by building large wholesale logistics centers for distribution of cargo in Urta Chirchik, Yukori Chirchik, Kuyi Chirchik and Tashkent districts.

Within two months, the regional khokims should launch projects to establish large trade and logistics centers at international intersections. Or by expanding the “Gishtkuprik” customs post in the Tashkent district, modernizing 11 kilometers of roads, creating a trade and logistics center on 400 hectares, it is possible to create an infrastructure that will serve 5,000 trucks and 35,000 people per day.

In general, 300,000 jobs will be created in the service sector in 158 rural districts,” Kun.uz correspondent quoted the head of state as saying.

The meeting also focused on the development of roadside services.

“Let the regional khokims, together with commercial banks, start implementing 21 types of necessary service projects in each block from next year.

The 25 frontier districts and the 100 districts crossed by international highways and railways will specialize in trade and logistics services. For example, 245 houses are located along the A-380 international highway in the Gijduvan district.

With the provision of services on the first floor of these houses, it is possible to create at least 1,000 jobs through the allocation of soft loans for multi-storey reconstruction.

Therefore, involving foreign designers around all international highways within three months, develop a program for the development of roadside services. The regional khokims will defend the projects of placement of roadside service facilities before the Prime Minister.

200 billion soums will be allocated for these projects next year. In general, it is necessary to fully launch at least 3,000 roadside projects next year,” the President said.
