The Consumer Protection Agency commented on the messages of citizens about unauthorized debiting of money from their bank cards.
In order to clarify the reason for the withdrawal of funds without the notification and consent of the owners of bank cards, the agency sent a letter of inquiry to a commercial bank asking them to provide detailed information on the basis of which regulatory legal acts the operations were performed.
The agency noted that, without the client’s consent, the withdrawal of funds from the account is allowed only by a court decision.
Also, according to the study of the agency, in this case, the requirements of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights" (Article 6) were violated: the manufacturer (executor, seller) is obliged to provide the consumer with the necessary, reliable and accessible information on the goods (works, services) sold by them in a timely manner (Article 19).
