The bill clearly defines the concept of "corruption" and includes 15 types of crimes.
According to the document, now those who embezzle budget funds, commit fraud or abuse their power will face up to 10 years of imprisonment (previously up to 5 years).
Crimes of bribery -- giving, taking or being an intermediary -- may now be punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
The most important change in the document is that perpetrators of bribery now should not be released on parole and their punishment should not be replaced by lighter sentences.
