Uzbekistan to strengthen arms control
Uzbekistan is working on a strategy to improve the public security system in the country in 2022-2025, which provides for strengthening control over the circulation of weapons.

The document envisages establishing a clear procedure for periodic checks of gun owners for medical restrictions, as well as revision of the criteria for the possession of hunting firearms.
It is also expected to increase the role and strengthen the responsibility of the hunting societies of the republic in ensuring public safety.
In addition, new methods will be developed and introduced into practice to ensure public safety, eliminate group offenses and mass riots.
