This is stated in the law “On amendments and additions to the Administrative Liability Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the liberalization of administrative penalties for committing certain offenses in the transport and financial spheres”.
Previously, illegal acquisition or sale by citizens of currency values entailed an administrative arrest for 15 days or the imposition of a fine in the amount of 20 BCAs with confiscation of currency values.
From December 1 of the current year, the above offense entails administrative arrest for up to 15 days or the imposition of a fine from 10 to 20 BCAs with confiscation of currency values.
