Law enforcement officers of Uzbekistan and South Korea to conduct joint anti-terrorist exercises
Special forces of the Korean National Police Agency have arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the first joint exercises of the special forces of law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and South Korea, the Dunyo news agency reported.
Based on the results of a number of bilateral meetings and negotiations held this year between law enforcement officials of the two countries, in order to exchange experience and work out practical anti-terrorist tasks, the parties confirmed their readiness to conduct joint counter-terrorism exercises from November 29 to December 5 on the territory of Uzbekistan.
The sides agreed on all the organizational issues of the joint drill, approved the plan of the exercises, as well as the number of forces and resources involved in it.
From the Uzbek side, special forces units of the National Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan will take part in the event.
