Since October, due to the “periodic increase in acute respiratory viral infections (ARIs)” among children across the country, the number of calls to medical institutions and ambulances has increased significantly, the press service of the Health Ministry reported.
Necessary measures have been taken taking into account the situation. In particular, 884 additional beds have been created in Tashkent city hospitals and 5,062 inpatient beds – throughout the country.
As of November 25, the number of beds in the capital’s hospitals has reached 3,521, and in the country – about 19,800.
“Currently, the number of vacant beds in medical institutions in Tashkent is 661, and in the country – 4,700,” the ministry said.
