According to the amendment, museums are allowed to carry out activities in accordance with their constituent documents.
At the same time, museums ensure the preservation of museum objects and collections.
It is stipulated that the funds received by the state museums from paid services, charities and other sources should not be taken into account or reduced in determining the amount of funding from the budget for next year.
The funds can be used to develop the material-technical base of state museums, increase their scientific potential and promote them.
Currently, there are 116 state and 8 non-state museums in the country.
The law came into force on the day it was officially published.
