Uzbekistan, Malaysia discuss holding the next round of inter-ministerial political consultations
Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov held video conference talks on Nov 23 with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob.
During the conversation, the current state of relations and prospects for the development of multifaceted Uzbek-Malaysian cooperation in the political, trade, economic, educational, cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres were considered.
The parties exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming events at various levels, including the holding of the next round of inter-ministerial political consultations.
Special attention was paid to issues of further activation and strengthening of interaction within the framework of international organizations, in particular the UN, the Organization for Islamic Cooperation and other multilateral platforms.
The sides also discussed other issues on the bilateral agenda.
