“In Russia, we discussed increasing our economic cooperation by 2-3 times, exchanged views on large projects worth $14.5 billion. One thing is for sure, the current numbers should increase rapidly. The most important thing for this is trust. Only if there is trust between states, these deeds will be fulfilled. On Sunday we will go to Ashgabat, then to Kazakhstan, then to Korea. Why? Because we must quickly attract investors to Uzbekistan. We must quickly create conditions for them,” a Kun.uz correspondent quoted the president as saying.
It should be noted that the first foreign visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev after being elected for a second term took place on November 19 to the Russian Federation. He held a meeting with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, during which topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and expanding multilateral cooperation, primarily in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, were discussed in detail.
Earlier it was reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev in a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan spoke about his upcoming visit to the neighboring republic. The president is also scheduled to visit South Korea in December.
