Working hours of CNG filling stations temporarily limited

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on November 16-18, wet and cold weather will be observed on the territory of the republic, the temperature at night will drop to minus 5-8 degrees, in the northern regions – to minus 12-15 degrees, wind speed indicators will increase to 17-28 meters per second.

“In recent years, in order to prevent violations of the technological regime during the operation of main and distribution gas pipelines, in the autumn-winter period, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the operation of automobile compressed natural gas filling stations (CNG filling stations) at certain times of the day, namely, in the evening and at night,” the message says.

Such a measure is provided for by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan dated January 12, 2018. In this regard, at present, such restrictions on the operation of CNG filling stations will be introduced in accordance with the schedules approved by the regional administrations.

“The purpose of this measure is to ensure the stability of natural gas supplies to the population, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, as well as large power plants, the supply of natural gas to which is a guarantee of your electricity supply,” the press service noted.

In the conclusion, it is emphasized that these restrictive measures are temporary and, if appropriate conditions arise, the CNG filling stations will return to normal operation.
