EF EPI: English language proficiency in Uzbekistan is “very low”
Uzbekistan has been included in the group of countries where the English language proficiency is “very low.” The study ranked 112 countries by English skills.

The Netherlands, Austria and Denmark topped the English proficiency rankings according to the EF English Proficiency Index, a global survey conducted by EF Education First.
Uzbekistan took 88th place and was included in the group of countries in which the level of knowledge of the English language is assessed as “very low”. It is noted that this is the “average for the region.” 87th place went to Albania, and 89th to Syria.
Kazakhstan is in 96th place, Kyrgyzstan – 101 and Tajikistan - 103. In all these countries, knowledge of the English language is also at a “very low” level. There is no Turkmenistan in the rating.
Russia took 51st place and there the level of proficiency is “moderate”.
