The press service of the Ministry of Energy explained to @rian_ru that blue fuel can be imported if there is a shortage in the country against the background of a strong cold snap, Sputnik Uzbekistan reported.
The final decision on this will be made by the government of Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Energy, in the coming autumn-winter period, it is planned to supply domestic consumers with 32.622 billion cubic meters of gas, and more than 3 billion cubic meters have already been pumped into underground storage facilities.
The ministry added that in the event of a sharp cold snap, seasonal consumers, including gas stations, catering enterprises and some others, will have to switch to other energy sources, and the released volumes of gas will be directed to provide residents, social and strategic facilities.
