“Enough votes were cast to declare the election valid” – CEC
According to the CEC, 33.6% of voters in Uzbekistan voted by 11:00.

The Central Election Commission has announced the number of voters who cast their ballots by 11:00. It was noted that between 08:00 and 11:00 on October 24, 6,669,552 voters had time to cast their ballots. This represents 33.6% of the total electorate.
According to Article 96 of the Electoral Code, the election is considered valid if 33% of the citizens included in the voter list took part in the voting.
“This means that the current elections are over, and we congratulate all participants in the election process,” the CEC Deputy Chairman Bakhrom Kuchkarov said.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 331,377 people (31.7%) exercised their right to vote, in Andijan region – 672,733 people (37.3%), in Bukhara region – 380,751 people (34.2%), in Jizzakh region – 276,640 (35.1%), in Kashkadarya region – 600,528 people (32.1%), in Navoi region – 182,989 people (29.4%), in Namangan region – 609,278 people (36.8%), in Samarkand region – 621,013 people (28.3), in Syrdarya region – 177,338 people (35.9%), in Surkhandarya region – 589,739 people (40.2%), in Tashkent region – 496,729 people (27.6%), in Fergana region – 938,937 people (41.1%), in Khorezm region – 346,804 people (32.5%), in the city of Tashkent – 444,696 people (26.9%).
A total of 19,859,127 voters were included in the voter lists at polling stations set up in the country. Of these, 9 million 459 thousand 273 or 48% are men, 10 million 399 thousand 854 or 52% are women, and 6 million 458 thousand 283 are under 30 years of age. Also, 887,686 voters and 8,203 convicts who have committed minor or socially dangerous crimes will vote for the first time. 299,780 voters can vote in 54 polling stations set up in 37 foreign countries.

It should be recalled that the incumbent President Shavkat Mirziyoyev from UzLiDeP, Milliy Tiklanish party leader Alisher Kadirov, Adolat SDP leader Bakhrom Abdukhalimov, Ecoparty Chairman Narzullo Oblomurodov and Maksuda Vorisova from the People’s Democratic Party are running for the presidency.
