Gov’t announces the amount of expenses for treating one COVID-19 patient
Anvar Khusanov, head physician of the Zangiata Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 1, spoke about the costs of treating COVID-19 patients. In particular, the amount that is spent on the treatment of each coronavirus patient in a state of moderate severity was announced.

According to him, the government spends 15 million soums for the treatment of a coronavirus patient in a state of moderate severity, which is treated in a medical facility. In the intensive care unit, the costs are different – at least 30 million soums.
The costs include medicines, food, transportation and utilities.
After the patient is discharged from the hospital, he needs to strengthen the immune system. In turn, these are also expenses.
In conclusion, he said that vaccination will help in the fight against COVID-19.
