Kazan Federal University to open a branch in Jizzakh
A branch of the Kazan Federal University will open in Jizzakh. The corresponding decree was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Spot reports.

The branch will start operating in the 2022/2023 academic year. About 30% of applicants will be admitted on the basis of a state grant. After graduation, such graduates will be assigned to state organizations with the condition of compulsory work at least three years.
The training will take place in the following areas:
- geology;
- software engineering;
- economy;
- mechanical engineering;
- medical business;
- dentistry;
- pharmacy;
- medical biochemistry.
At least 40% of the faculty will be attracted from abroad, including from the Kazan Federal University.
From the 2021/2022 academic year, Kazan University, together with the Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan, will begin training personnel in the areas of “Software Engineering”, “Pharmacy” and “Information Systems and Technologies” on the basis of joint educational programs.
Students admitted to study in these areas will continue their studies in the new branch.
The branch of Kazan University will be located in the building of the former Higher Military Aviation School.
