Abdulaziz Kamilov holds talks with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, discusses cooperation in Afghan direction

The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Heiko Maas, who arrived in Tashkent on a visit.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state of Uzbek-German cooperation and prospects for its further development.
The agenda and schedule of upcoming joint events were also considered at the meeting.
Special attention was paid to issues related to the current situation in Afghanistan. Heiko Maas expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for assistance in organizing the evacuation of German and other EU citizens from Afghanistan. The parties voiced their readiness to continue close cooperation in the Afghan direction.
Abdulaziz Kamilov and Heiko Maas also exchanged views on the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations.
