Uzbekistan and the UAE are implementing an investment project to organize the cultivation of cherries and berries in Uzbekistan. The process will involve an Uzbek-Emirati investment company and E20 Investments Ltd.

Uzbekistan and the UAE agreed to create a single platform on which business representatives of both countries can exchange ideas and project proposals, discuss partnership prospects and reach specific agreements. In this regard, the parties decided to create an Uzbek-Emirates business council by signing a profile agreement in a bilateral manner.

Within the framework of the program of the business forum of entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and the UAE, which took place in Tashkent, the national potential of the republic in the field of agriculture, textile, mining, electrical, pharmaceutical, jewelry and other industries was presented. Investors from the UAE got acquainted with the privatization program being implemented in the country and its interim results.

Following the meeting, a number of documents were signed, including the Agreement on Uzbekistan’s accession to the international trade promotion program World Logistics Passport, the Agreement on the implementation of an investment project to organize the cultivation of cherries and berries in Uzbekistan between the Uzbek-Emirati investment company and E20 Investments Ltd. 

The parties also agreed to develop economic cooperation between the Department of Investments and Foreign Trade of Tashkent and the Department of Economic Development of Abu Dhabi.
