MFA announces Uzbekistan’s position on Afghanistan
Speaking at the eighteenth plenary session of the Senate, First Deputy Foreign Minister Farkhod Arziyev answered questions from senators regarding the activities of the ministry.

During his speech, he noted that Uzbekistan is interested in the early achievement of a national consensus between all the internal political forces of Afghanistan on the formation of a new government.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman also said that Uzbekistan supports the establishment of peace in the country by forming an inclusive coalition government based on broad representation.
“Uzbekistan is helping its international partners to move citizens from Afghanistan to a safe place. In addition, citizens leaving Afghanistan in transit are guaranteed to reach their destination. None of those who entered Uzbekistan in transit will remain in the country,” he said.
It also became known that in connection with the situation in Afghanistan, diplomatic missions of some countries have suspended their activities, but the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif are carrying out their activities.
