FM Abdulaziz Kamilov receives credentials of new Swiss ambassador to Uzbekistan Konstantin Obolensky

On August 24, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland, Konstantin Obolensky.
Accepting copies of his credentials, the minister congratulated the ambassador on the beginning of his work in Uzbekistan and wished him success in a high and responsible post.
The parties expressed mutual interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation, in particular by holding political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, expanding trade, economic and investment ties.
The sides exchanged views on the situation in the region, taking into account the current situation in Afghanistan, including the evacuation of Swiss citizens from Kabul.
