Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the CSTO Summit to discuss the recent development of the situation in Afghanistan, the presidential spokesperson Sherzod Asadov said.

Asadov briefed on the planned works of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for this week.

“The President will attend the meeting as an invited guest. The participants will discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and measures to counter potential threats to security,” he said.

Reportedly, Mirziyoyev’s work schedule includes holding a meeting in Tashkent to get acquainted with projects aiming to improve the environmental situation and expand green areas, develop sports education, and create an Olympic reserve.

“The ceremony of receiving credentials from the newly appointed foreign ambassadors is also planned,” Sherzod Asadov said at the briefing.
