Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and South Korea discuss expanding bilateral cooperation
On July 30, FM Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks in Seoul with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Korea Chung Eui-yong.

During the conversation, topical issues of further deepening and expanding multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea were discussed.
The ministers reviewed the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of high-level talks, in particular the online summit in January this year.
An exchange of views took place on the agenda and schedule of upcoming joint events at various levels. The heads of the foreign affairs agencies considered proposals for building up trade, economic and investment cooperation.
The parties noted with satisfaction the results achieved in the field of education. In Uzbekistan, there are branches of five leading South Korean universities, vocational education centers in Tashkent, Samarkand, Shakhrisabz and Fergana, South Korean experience is being introduced into the development of the preschool education system.
Interest was expressed in the implementation of joint projects in the areas of high technologies, green and digital economy.
Kamilov reaffirmed Uzbekistanās unwavering support for the policy of the Republic of Korea on a peaceful settlement of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the resumption of inter-Korean dialogue.
In turn, the South Korean side welcomed Uzbekistanās initiatives to strengthen the atmosphere of good-neighborliness and develop mutually beneficial cooperation with neighboring countries and integration processes in the Central Asian region.
