President signs Spatial Data Act
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a new law “On Spatial Data”.

According to the law, spatial data is data on spatial objects, including information about their location, shape, and other properties.
The Cadastral Agency under the State Tax Committee is a specially authorized state body for spatial data.
To coordinate the development of the national spatial data infrastructure, the Cadastral Agency will establish a coordinating council for the development of the national spatial data infrastructure.
Spatial data is divided into basic and profile spatial data.
Spatial data and metadata are made available to public authorities free of charge, and other users for a fee set by an authorized state body in consultation with the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
