The Cabinet of Ministers approved regulations on the procedure for organizing educational activities on the basis of joint education programs of partner higher educational organizations of Uzbekistan and abroad.
From January 1, 2022, the procedure for the examination of joint education programs by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education will be introduced, and only if there is a positive expert opinion, it will be allowed to organize educational activities on the basis of joint educational programs.
Admission to study on the basis of joint educational programs from the 2021/2022 academic year will be carried out in two stages:
At the first stage, entrance exams will be held in accordance with the admission procedure developed in agreement with the higher educational organization – a foreign partner;
At the second stage, an entrance exam in a foreign language will be held, in which training will be carried out on a joint educational program within the time frame agreed with the State Testing Center on the basis of an order from a higher educational organization of Uzbekistan.
Reportedly:
- Applicants who have scored 30% of the maximum score that can be scored in the first stage entrance exams are eligible to participate in the second stage exam;
- Applicants who have scored at least 30% of the maximum score that can be scored in the second stage foreign language exams will participate in the competition held under the joint educational program, and, based on the admission parameters, will be admitted to study. Applicants who have a national and equivalent international certificate of the corresponding level in a foreign language, at a level not lower than B1 in a bachelor’s program, and not lower than B2 in a master’s program, are exempted from the foreign language exam held at the second stage, and they are given the maximum score for this stage.
The procedure for approving the results of admission to study on the basis of joint educational programs is established by the higher educational organization of the Republic of Uzbekistan in agreement with the foreign partner (higher educational organization).
Graduates who successfully graduate from higher educational institutions on the basis of joint educational programs will be issued a diploma recognized in the state where the higher educational institution is located – a foreign partner, as well as a state diploma of the higher educational organization of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
