“Dear compatriots!

On this great day, when our hearts are full of grace and divine glory, I am very pleased to sincerely congratulate all Muslims in our country, all our people on the blessed Eid al-Adha, a symbol of peace, gratitude, kindness and generosity. And I am gratified to express my deep respect and best wishes.

Taking this opportunity, on behalf of our people, we send our sincere greetings and congratulations to all the Muslim community on earth, our foreign friends and partners, who are celebrating this sacred holiday.

The fact that this year’s Eid al-Adha is taking place on the eve of the glorious 30th anniversary of our country’s independence further enhances its unique spirit.

To live in peace and tranquility in an independent country with great goals, to work honestly is in harmony with the noble ideas of our sacred religion.

In recent years, due to the selfless work of our people, great work has been done to restore, develop and promote our sacred religion, national and religious values.

In order to study in depth the unique scientific heritage of our great scholars, to continue the noble traditions of our religion in the spirit of humanity, great attention has been paid to the development of Islamic spirituality in the new stage of our country’s development.

The establishment of new institutions such as the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, Imam Bukhari, Imam Termezi, Imam Moturidi International Research Centers, the School of Hadith and the Mir Arab High School, as well as the construction and renovation of dozens of new mosques and shrines is a testament to a vast scale of work in this area.

Today, along with the legal rights and freedoms of the citizens of Uzbekistan, the needs and requirements in the field of religion are fully being met. In this regard, it should be noted that a new version of the Law “On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations” was recently adopted.

Dear compatriots!

We all know that one of the most important principles of lasting peace in a society is social and religious tolerance. Our greatest asset is that the representatives of different faiths in our country are one family, living in an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity. They make a worthy contribution to the development of our Motherland.

Over the centuries, our people have created a unique school of experience in the harmonious development of religious and secular sciences. The practical confirmation of this idea can be seen in the example of the invaluable legacy of our great scholars, who amazed the world with their unique scientific discoveries, spiritual and enlightenment thinking.

Today, greater opportunities are opening up for the in-depth study of such a rare spiritual treasure.

I am convinced that our noble people will take advantage of these opportunities to bring up the younger generation and achieve great success.

Dear and respected compatriots!

In the current pandemic period, the proposal made by our experienced scholars to perform religious prayers at home is undoubtedly the most appropriate decision to protect the life and health of our people.

On these great days, we all ask Almighty Allah to help us overcome such severe trials that all mankind is going through.

I sincerely congratulate you once again on the blessed Eid al-Adha and wish you all good health, happiness, peace and prosperity to your families.

May our country always be peaceful, may our people always be healthy!
